| AERO WRAP | Superb line lay is a Shimano reels hallmark. Fed by Power Roller, the Aero system lays close, parallel coils (Aero Wrap) so line builds evenly on the spool and exits cleanly with minimum friction for longer, more accurate casts. |
| ARB | The Shimano A-RB is a new generation of bearings, resistant to both oxidisation and corrosion. An integrated highly corrosion resistant surface protects the metal from contact with corrosive agents. This enables much harder steels to be used ensuring increased strength and improved durability. A-RB bearings are 10 times more durable than standard bearings making our reels perform stronger for longer. |
| BIOFIBRE | Adding biofibre reinforces the carbon fibres in all directions and is four times stronger than other carbon fibres. This gives outstanding strength, shock resistance, lightness and power. |
| COMPUTER BALANCED | This TICA exlusive system offers a computer balanced rotor to minimize vibration. |
| DYNA BALANCE | Dyna-Balance eliminates wobble during the retrieve by counter balancing the rotor. This makes the reels stunningly smooth. |

| FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM | Deflation stage: allows a gradual deflation until half of the process, and a fast deflation at the end of it. Inflation stage: with the watertight push button, and designed to avoid being accidentally activated. |
| FLOATING SHAFT II | The key friction area on most fixed spool reels is where the spool drive shaft meets the opinion. Shimano designers have overcome this by reducing a large percentage of surface area contact and incorporating bearings on either side of the shaft. The resultant design leaves the shaft in a ‘floating’ position, considerably improving efficiency and longevity. |
| FOSSIL WOOD | An exciting innovation in rod materials, Fossilwood looks good and feels great and has a number of advantages over regular wood. Created by compressing organic raw materials into a carbon like state using over 1000 degrees heat in a vacuum, the resultant material is much stronger than wood and each component is both unique and resistant to moisture. |

| INSTANT LOCK | This unique feature of Shimano makes it possible to lock the blank in different parts of the sections of a telescopic rod. In this way we ensure that a telescopic pole can be safely set to different lengths. |
| MULTI LENGHT | It allows you to add or remove a special section in some Shimano rods and use two different sizes. This variations does not modify the specific action of the rod. |

| POWER CORK | By applying a special surface treatment, Shimano have succeeded in making natural cork more durable. Power cork is tactile, ergonomic, lightweight and attractive, and yet it will not absorb moisture, is more resistant to bacteria and will not degrade or age cosmetically. Power Cork is also washable and will maintain its looks for years to come. |

| S-SYSTEM | S-system represents the ultimate in reel technology and covers a formidable array of new features that provide optimum performance and reliability: 1- SUPER SLOW OSCILLATION The Super Slow Oscillation system evenly layers the line onto the spool, reducing the gaps between the line wraps that can cause unwanted friction or hang-ups during casting. When the bail is open and the reel is cast, the line flows effortlessly off of the spool for a longer cast than found with a traditional oscillation system. 2- A-RB The Shimano A-RB is a new generation of bearings, resistant to both oxidisation and corrosion. A-RB bearings are 10 times more durable than standard bearings making our reels perform stronger for longer. 3- DIRECT OIL LUBRICATION PORT This feature enables you to directly lubricate the inner workings of the reel without having to take it apart. 4- S- GUARD Specially designed guards are attached to the rotor and the body, which prevent the accumulation of water and also give added protection against accidental bumps and knocks. 5- S- ARM CAM Slack line around the line roller is the basic cause of problems during the cast. A newly designed roller incorporates a protruding lower surface, which helps prevent slack line, virtually eliminating the problem. 6- S-SPOOL S-System spools are cold forged from aluminium alloy. The cold forging process creates a lightweight spool with increased structural strength. The addition of a spool ring, made from titanium-coated zirconia, which is ten times harder than stainless steel, gives the lip added resistance to abrasion and damage. 7- S-DRAG Features carbon washers for smooth even performance on the hardest of drag settings, totally reliable and exceedingly durable for long-term heavy-duty use. 8- S-MASTER GEAR Cold forged from A7075 Super Duraluminium (aircraft grade alloy) this key component has incredible strength but with a massive weight reduction. The versions on the Stella reels are coated with a layer of Black Almite, a microscopic thin ceramic coating that provides a hardened corrosion resistance surface for extreme use. |
| S.A.S | Clearly marked externally on several of our new rod and pole models SAS ensures the very best action of the blank is attained every time. This accurate final adjustment is determined at the end of the production process and takes into consideration the guide and finish contributions to the action before being passed by our stringent inspection. |
| S.D.R Shimano Dynamic Response | The unique SDR construction process eliminates any spine forming during manufacture, meaning the blank action is always uniform regardless of which way the rod is bent. Shimano Dynamic Response keeps you in touch with each and every turn a fish makes, increasing sensitivity and responsive reaction speed. It also improves the blank’s recovery speed for a crisper action; ideal when lightning bites demand instant response. |
| SISTEMA SR | The SR-System is a fusion of the R-Concept with S-System: Smooth, Silent and Strong. The result is a range of groundbreaking features that push back the barriers of reel technology still further: MgS COATING: The magnesium alloy used to construct the SR reels is highly resistant to corrosion. The surface is further protected by aunique corrosion-resistant finish. SR ONE-PIECE BAIL: This one-piece bail has no gap for line to snag on during normal operation. Made of Stainless Steel, it reduces friction and allows the line to quickly locate itself into the line roller. SR 3D GEAR: This oversized Drive Gear was designed using 3D CAD-CAM technology. This allows the surface of each tooth to be contoured exactly to the tooth shape of the pinion gear, resulting in more surface contact between these components. This in turn means increased smoothness, torque, effi ciency and durability. SR GUARD FIN: The SR Guard Fins are coated with Titanium and are strategically placed on the rotor and several parts of the body to protect the reel from impact damage. RIGID SUPPORT DRAG: The Rigid Support Drag virtually eliminates spool wobble, even at light drag settings.The result is an incredibly smooth drag whatever the setting. SR HANDLE:This handle screws directly into the drive gear resulting in zero play between the handle and gear. The 1000 size handle has a thin solid shank, whilst the larger sizes incorporate a hollow handle shank, which reduces weight whilst providing strength and durability. | T CURVE | The Shimano Tcurve process combines special graphite cloth with a revolutionary resin formula and manufacturing technique. The three-ply weave undergoes a clinical curing process to produce a unique ‘Dynamic’ blank with massive pressure thresholds. Unlike others, Tcurve resin molecules retain elasticity after the manufacturing process. The outcome is 20-40% more compression resistance than regular carbon, meaning any Shimano rod bearing the Tcurve logo packs significant hidden power reserves, perfect for specimen fishing and commercial carping. |
| T DIAFLASH | TDiaflash is a blend of Tcurve and our much-loved Diaflash construction, yielding one of the lightest, most resilient blanks currently on the market. |
| TAFTEC | It is extremely difficult to prevent this grinding process from weakening the tip due to the long fibres becoming cut, and thus laying in a far more inconsistent wave-type pattern than their original, stronger, streamlined status. TAFTEC’s Tough Construction Power Carbon formula utilizes pre-stretched T-3500 yarn fibres with low resin saturation, ensuring the original structure remains intact even when ground. |
