The Calais is the flagship of Shimano's low profile multiplier series. With 10 A-RB bearings and 1 Roller Bearing (that's the equivalent of 13-14 bearings), the Calais is as smooth as it looks. An easy access side plate allows the VBS system to be tuned quickly whilst the star drag with Dartainium drag washers means that clutch adjustment is just a turn away. Other features include Greaseless Spool Support Bearings that reduce friction on the cast, Cold Forged handle shank, Metal Series frames keeping moving parts in precise alignment, and Super Stopper.
