Can I put a postal address as a shipping address?

What happens if there is no one at home when the delivery is made?
The carrier will try to make the delivery again for several more times. After this times, and in case of failed delivery, the package will be returned. In this case, the client will get returned the money paid for the articles but not that for the transport.
